Technology Transfer Innovation is a consulting business, helping clients develop their technology transfer, innovation management and early-stage investment activities.
The business was set up in 2016 by Tom Hockaday when he became an independent consultant, after working in UK universities for 27 years. Tom Hockaday is a leading expert in university technology transfer leadership, management and activities, proof-of-concept and seed investment funds. He led the technology transfer activities at the University of Oxford for ten years from 2006 to 2016, having started at Oxford in 2000. Technology Transfer Innovation is working with a number of clients in the university technology transfer, government and seed investment sectors.
Tom's book 'University Technology Transfer - What It Is and How to Do It' is available, published by Johns Hopkins University Press in April 2020.
Tom is a founder of GEDITT, Global Equality Diversity and Inclusion in Technology Transfer, working together to impact Technology Transfer, one TTO at a time, launched in April 2021.
